"We were indeed buried with him through baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might live in newness of life."
- Romans 6:3-9

The Catholic Rites in the Order of Christian Funerals are a celebration of faith
that enable loved ones to focus on the promise of everlasting life and the hope of Eternal Resurrection in Christ.
There are three distinct Rites.
The Vigil is time for family, and members of the community to gather in prayer and support, in remembrance of a treasured life. Often times, a rosary is prayed and eulogies are delivered.
The Funeral Mass is the principle celebration of the Christian Funeral. Family and friends join to reaffirm that life has not ended. It is the memorial of Christ’s sacrifice and it is a reminder that we are one with Christ in Life, Death, and Resurrection.
The Committal is the final farewell and good bye. It is the time of interment; the body is committed to its final resting place. Here, family and friends gather to take their final leave with the comfort and the promise of Everlasting Life in Resurrection.
Each Rite serves an important purpose in guiding family and friends through loss, grief, and the journey of healing.
Memorial donations are gifts in memory of someone who has passed away. If your family would like to request a memorial donation in lieu of flowers or other tribute gifts to Corpus Christi Parish, please contact the parish office.
