Raising Little Saints Playgroup

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." - Proverbs 22:6

The purpose of the Raising Little Saints Catholic Playgroup is to offer a small group that supports mothers with young children in passing on the Catholic faith and creating a Domestic Church in their homes.

Groups of parents and infants/young children meet regularly during the summer and “school year” (when older siblings are in school) on a pre-chosen schedule.

Gatherings are held at a leader’s home or shared at member’s homes, or at the parish. For special playgroup themes, such as Sacrament of Marriage on Valentines Day, hosting the gathering on church grounds can be very special!
 

The gathering generally consists of the following:

• Introduction of the meeting’s theme
• Opening prayer
• Simple song or interactive prayer related to the theme
• Simple activity or craft related to the theme
• Small snack (can be themed)
• A short free playtime

Gatherings generally do not exceed 1 to 1.5 hours, but playtime afterwards can last until Noon.
