Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Welcome to Corpus Christi Parish! My prayer is that you discover Christ in this place where His presence dwells. Corpus Christi exists to bring the Body of Christ to the people of Mobile, Alabama so that we can become one with Him. I hope you will join us in our celebration and then go forth with the peace of Christ, sharing Him with those you encounter. May your time here fill you with joy, challenge you to live a holy life, and help you achieve it. May God bless you and fill you with His grace!
Fr. Pat
Fr. Pat Arensberg was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Mobile in 2012. Fr. Pat was born in Maui, Hawaii, but his family moved to Mobile when he was in 5th grade. He is the middle child of his family. He has two older brothers and one older sister and one younger brother and two younger sisters. A graduate of McGill-Toolen Catholic (‘02) and Spring Hill College (’06), Fr. Pat spent one and a half years studying philosophy at St. Joseph Seminary College in Covington, Louisiana and four years studying theology at the Gregorian University in Rome, Italy. From 2012-2016 he served as the Parochial Vicar for St. Bede the Venerable Parish in Montgomery, AL. After spending five years as Pastor of Holy Name of Jesus in Semmes, Fr. Pat was named Pastor of Corpus Christi Parish in 2021.
Father Alexander Crow was ordained for the Archdiocese of Mobile on June 5, 2021. He was baptized Episcopalian, and later joined the Presbyterian church (PCA). He played soccer his whole life and his childhood dream was to become a professional musician. He played music all around the Gulf Coast from his early teens until he was 21, when one day his life was dramatically changed after going to Confession. Fr. Crow quit playing music and felt an undeniable call to become a Catholic priest. This led him to work in youth ministry for a year, until he was accepted into seminary. He holds a Baccalaureate of Liberal Arts & Philosophy from Saint Joseph Abbey & Seminary College, a Master of Divinity from Saint Meinrad Seminary & School of Theology, and a Baccalaureate of Sacred Theology (STB) from San Anselmo, Rome, with a concentration in demonology and exorcism.
